THE EXPERINECE
VSE’s internship program is a low time commitment opportunity that allows students to learn valuable skills, listen to guest professionals, and implement their skills into a professional organization. VSE’s internship program is designed to help students develop applicable skills and knowledge that they will be able to use in any career that they go into. Under the mentorship of the VSE Core team and selected mentors, students will explore what it means to run an organization while building a universal set of applicable skills. All meetings are conducted in an online setting.
Applicants must be full time students at a high school and in at least 10th grade.
THE EXPERIENCE

Interns will gain 5 months of hands-on experience by working with our team and selected mentors to discover, practice, and build skills. During the first month, we will be laying a foundation of skills that will be practiced and developed in the other rotations listed below.
SOCIAL MEDIA
In this rotation, interns will be using social media to practice Community Outreach, Advertising, Analyzing Analytics, and Cross-platform posting on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify, and Linkedin.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
In this rotation, interns will learn about the many aspects of business development and practice skills such as Management, Scaling, Building and Managing relationships, Big Picture Thinking, and Leadership
CONTENT PRODUCTION
In this rotation, students will gain insight into VSE's content creation process. They will learn about how to produce quality Audio and Video. Creative aspects of this rotation include scripting, filming and editing original videos and creating Graphics.
COMMUNICATIONS
In this rotation, interns will practice skills such as Writing, Phone calls, Interviews, Webinar Moderation, and Group Leadership.
